Wong Receives Award for Business Excellence

SAN FRANCISCO - Alexis Wong recently received the excellence in business award from the California Asian Pacific Islander Legislative Caucus in the chambers of the State of California Assembly in Sacramento.
In 1998, Wong founded AGI Capital, a San Francisco-based real estate investment and development firm.
To date, the firm has completed more than $500 million of development and investment opportunities, including a joint venture with CalPERS.
"I'm delighted and honored to be recognized with such an esteemed group of people from throughout California," said Wong after the ceremony.
Six other Asian Pacific Islander Americans were recognized for their contributions to excellence in various fields. Indian American Kal Penn was given the arts and entertainment award; Hideo Johnny Yamada and Alice Bulos for community service; Phillip Shinn received the legal award; Lai Lai Bui for law enforcement and Dr. Anmol S. Mahal for outstanding contributions in the medical field.
